Hero Gear: Upgrades, Promotion & Mythic
Which gear goes on which hero, how far to upgrade before promoting, what Mythic costs, and how to farm blueprints.
The four slots
| Slot | Type | Best on |
|---|---|---|
| Cannon / Gun | Attack | Damage heroes |
| Chip | Attack | Damage heroes |
| Armor | Defense | Front-line tanks |
| Radar | Defense | Front-line tanks |
Rarity and level caps
| Rarity | Max level | Upgrade material |
|---|---|---|
| Rare | 15 | Upgrade Core |
| Epic | 30 | Upgrade Ore |
| Legendary | 40 | Upgrade Ore, then star promotion |
Upgrade in blocks of 10: bonus stats unlock at levels 10, 20, 30 and 40.
Promotion to Mythic
Legendary gear at level 40 can be promoted through 5 stars, ending as Mythic. Each star has steps at 25/50/75/100%. Taking one piece all the way costs roughly:
| Total for 1 piece | |
|---|---|
| Coins | ~743M |
| Upgrade Ore | ~500K |
| Dielectric Ceramic | 6,000 |
| Blueprints | 50 Legendary + 10 Mythic |
That's huge, so only promote permanent main-squad gear.
Getting blueprints
- Legendary blueprints: a good use of Honor points.
- Mythic blueprints: the main free source is the Ammo Bonanza / Bullseye Loot event (level 200). Also the Season Store, events and packs.
Upgrade order
- Main squad first.
- Replace temporary Rare pieces.
- Swap key Epic pieces for Legendary.
- Take Legendary gear to 40.
- Then promote, starting with the heroes doing the most work.
