Season 5: Banks, Coffee & War Rules
How CrystalGold Banks and interest work, using coffee recipes, the fixed war windows and Safe Time, and how to finish the season well.

Coffee recipes
The Caffeine Institute unlocks 9 recipes. Each adds Virus Resistance (+200 or +500 depending on the recipe) plus a secondary buff such as faster building, training, research or march speed. Drink the right recipe just before the fight or activity it helps.
Banks
- Deposit up to 6,000 CrystalGold, 3 times a day. Longer terms earn more interest.
- If the Bank falls, attackers can take the deposits. Keep deposits short in contested Banks.
- Test with a 1-day deposit first to see how well your alliance holds its Bank.
War rules
- Cities: Wednesdays and Saturdays only.
- Bank Strongholds: any day except Sunday (Truce Day).
- Fights happen in three fixed war windows each day.
- Alliance Safe Time blocks one window for your Cities and Banks, but not your bases.
- You start able to hold 8 Cities and 4 Strongholds. Each City adds a Stronghold slot, up to 12.
- Territory must connect to a City before R4/R5 can declare on it.
- Cross-warzone teleport opens in week 3. Safe Zones don't stop PvP from other warzones.
Difficulty climbs
Zombies and Doom Elites go up to level 120, in three waves: Dancer Zombies (1–60), Sheriff Zombies (60–90) from week 2, and Cowboy Zombies (91–120) from week 4. The toughest Bank Stronghold bosses need very high Virus Resistance, so keep the Institute ahead of your next target.
Late season
- Warzone Outposts (from week 4) and Friday Outpost battles in weeks 5–7.
- The Golden Palace on Saturdays from week 5, for adjacent alliances only.
- The Grand Nexus objective builds through the season.
Finishing well
- Keep a CrystalGold reserve instead of emptying it into the shop.
- Sell Whiskey regularly from week 2.
- In week 8, finish shop purchases. Leftover CrystalGold converts 1:1 to Profession EXP, and Coffee converts at 100:1.
Common mistakes
- Thinking Safe Time protects your base.
- Forgetting Sunday is Truce Day.
- Maxing one Factory first.
- Making long deposits in contested Banks.
- Leaving the Trade Train unguarded.
