Hero Tier List: Who to Build (Late 2026)
The heroes worth your shards for Tank, Aircraft and Missile squads, plus which ones to treat as placeholders.
Hero rarity runs UR (long-term heroes), SSR (strong early, some can be promoted to UR) and SR (early filler only). Every hero has a troop type (Tank, Aircraft or Missile) and a role (Attack, Defense or Support).

- SS/S: worth full investment.
- A: solid while you wait for better heroes.
- B: placeholders. Use them, but don't pour rare items in.
- C: skip.
Who to build first
- Kimberly (Tank) comes from an early starter offer and is the classic first investment.
- Murphy is easy to get early and is a great front-line tank.
- Mason + Murphy + Kimberly is a popular early Tank core.
- Marshall (Tank support) arrives around the pre-season and boosts the whole squad.
How heroes become available
Many top heroes join the normal tavern pool as your server ages. Kimberly, Tesla, Swift, DVA and Carlie appear around server day 60, and later heroes like Morrison and Fiona arrive with later seasons.
Golden rules
- One troop type, one main squad. See Squad Formations.
- Don't replace a developed hero with a shiny new UR at low stars and skill levels.
- Develop in this order: level → stars → skills → gear → Exclusive Weapon → Awakening.
