Capitol Conquest, the President & Title Buffs
How Capitol Conquest works, what every presidential title gives you, how to apply, and how to get the most from a title.
How Capitol Conquest works
- Who can compete: an alliance that owns a level 6 city and has land touching the Capitol (this land rule doesn't apply in the pre-season and end of season).
- When: it changes by season. For example, in Season 1 it ran in week 4 for 8 hours, and the first alliance to hold the Capitol for 4 hours in total won. In Season 5 the Grand Nexus was fought in weeks 3 and 8.
- In the pre-season up to 100 squads can defend, attackers lose their shield on their first attack, and the sitting President loses office when the event starts.
- The pre-season winner keeps the Capitol through the off-season.
The President and titles
The winner's leader becomes President and appoints a Vice President. Together they assign the titles below.
| Title | Bonus | Conqueror bonus |
|---|---|---|
| President | Hero HP, ATK and DEF +5% | Same, plus enemy casualties +5% |
| Vice President | Construction +20%, Research +20%, Training +10% | 25% / 25% / 12.5% |
| Secretary of Development | Construction +50%, Research +25% | 60% / 30% |
| Secretary of Science | Research +50%, Construction +25% | 60% / 30% |
| Secretary of Interior | Food, Iron and Coin output +100% | +150% |
| Secretary of Strategy | Hospital capacity +20%, healing speed +20% | 25% each |
| Secretary of Security | Training capacity +20%, training speed +20% | 25% each |
| Military Commander | Only during Conqueror | March speed +5%, enemy casualties +5% |
| Administrative Commander | Only during Conqueror | Construction +60%, Research +60% |
Conqueror bonus: after your server wins Warzone Duel as the attacker, titles get stronger, usually for 7 days.
Applying for a title
- You need HQ 16 or higher.
- You can apply for one title at a time, with a 30-minute cooldown between applications.
- Each title holds up to 50 applications, which expire after 24 hours.
- Titles are handed out automatically about every 5 minutes, so each holder gets only a few minutes.
- All applications are cleared when a new Capitol Conquest starts.
Get the most from a title
- Get the title first, then start the timer. Speed bonuses only affect upgrades, research or training you start while you hold it.
- Secretary of Interior: let your resource buildings fill up, take the title, then collect.
- Match the title to the Alliance Duel day: Development or Science on building and research days, Security on troop training days. See the VS planner.
- A 50% speed boost isn't 50% less time. A 100-minute upgrade takes about 67 minutes.
For Presidents and R5s
- Post a title schedule so people know when to apply, and stick to it.
- Release titles quickly so the queue keeps moving.
- Keep it fair. Using titles to reward one alliance and punish others is a fast way to start a server war. See Warzone Etiquette.
