Season 6: Altar Conquest
Every Altar, the Alliance Skill it unlocks, capture rules, the conflicting pairs, and how to plan your three picks.
Altars sit in the neutral center of the map, held by the Great River Clan. Capturing one unlocks a powerful Alliance Skill for faction fights.
When
- Every Tuesday at 12:00 server time, starting in Week 3.
- Each contest lasts 1 hour.
- New Altars unlock as the season goes on:
| Altar | Level | Opens | Alliance Skill | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Snake Altar | 1 | Week 3 | Fortify (cities only, short cooldown, any city in your faction) | Defense |
| Echo Altar | 2 | Week 3 | Mummy Army Summon | Offense against thin garrisons and weak shields |
| Gust Altar | 3 | Week 4 | Warlord Missile (blasts bases, leaves contaminated land; there's a warning before launch) | Offense |
| Feather Altar | 4 | Week 5 | Tesla Coil (clears weak or unshielded bases around a city) | Defense |
| Treehaven Altar | 5 | Week 6 | Refresh | Flexible |
Holding two Altars with the same skill doesn't stack it.
The rules
- An alliance can hold up to 3 Altars. There's no daily capture limit.
- Conflicting pairs: you can hold only one of Snake / Gust and only one of Echo / Feather. Troops capturing the excluded one are sent home automatically.
- No adjacent land needed to attack an Altar, and Altars don't connect your territory either.
- To occupy one, your alliance needs at least 1,000M Alliance Power and more than 20 members.
- Up to 20 garrison members. A full garrison captures in 20 minutes.
Who wins
- Owned Altar: the challenger must hit 100% within the hour, or the owner keeps it. Partial progress counts for nothing.
- Unowned Altar: the first alliance to 100% takes it. If nobody gets there, the eligible alliance with the most progress wins.
- Capture is cancelled if your alliance hits the 3-Altar cap, the commander who started it leaves, or the alliance disbands.
Using the skills
Skills cost Alliance Energy, which comes mostly from donating fish. See Fishing.
Great River Clan's Gift
After a capture, any R4 or R5 can summon the Gift once per Altar per week (it resets on Tuesday). It spawns fish schools around the Altar, and any member can collect them, up to 10 fish per day from Altars.
Abandoning an Altar
Abandoning takes 60 minutes and can be cancelled. It can't be started in the hour before a Conquest window. Effects already running finish normally.
Strategy
- Pick your three before Tuesday. Decide whether this week needs offense (Echo, Gust) or defense (Snake, Feather).
- Move fast in Week 3. Neutral Altars are easiest to take early.
- Wave attacks against a strong defender: land your first squads together, then send the 2nd and 3rd squads right behind them.
- Summon the Gift right after capturing.
- Swapping Altars? Abandon early in the week so the slot is free before the next Tuesday.
