In Season 6, Fishing Grounds take the place of the old Strongholds. Your alliance captures them, members fish there, and the catch fuels the faction.

How fishing works

  • You can only fish at Fishing Grounds held by alliances in your faction.
  • Each cast uses Bait.
  • Which fish you can catch depends on the ground's original faction and level, not who holds it now. Higher-level grounds have better fish.
  • The timing bar affects how heavy a fish is, not whether you catch it. Casting near the center gives better odds of a heavier fish of the same type.
  • Weight doesn't change donation value. Every fish of the same type gives the same Energy.
  • At grounds held by other alliances in your faction, some fish may be confiscated. You don't keep them, but they still count for your fish index and rankings.

Where the catch goes

Donate fish to Alliance Skills or Faction Technology. Donations:

  • Earn you War Merit.
  • Build Alliance Energy, which powers the Alliance Skills you win from Altars.
  • Grow Faction Technology, which gives faction-wide buffs and unlocks features (including War Spoils).

Some special Blessed Fish give commander buffs.

Getting more Bait

  • Daily Visitor: about 10 Bait a day.
  • War Merit Shop: 200 War Merit each, up to 10 a day.
  • The Golden Bait profession skill gives a free Golden Bait about once a day.
  • The Multi Fishing profession skill lets you use 5 Bait at once for 5 rewards.

The fishing calendar

  • Week 1: the first Fishing Grounds clash starts (it runs for 14 days).
  • Week 2: neutral Fishing Grounds in enemy warzones can be taken from the start of the week. Level 5–7 grounds open 12 hours after reset.
  • Owned Fishing Grounds can only be fought over on War Declaration Days (Wednesday and Saturday).
  • From Week 3, Altars can summon the Great River Clan's Gift, extra fish schools around the Altar. See Altar Conquest.

At season end, leftover Bait and Fish convert into Profession EXP.
