Season 6 Pre-Season: Two-Week Checklist
What happens in the two-week Season 6 pre-season, how factions are decided, and what to get ready before day 1.
The Season 6 Pre-Season lasts two weeks. Nothing is lost if you take it easy, but a little preparation makes Week 1 of the real season much smoother.
Week 1 of the Pre-Season
New tiles appear on the Season screen from day 1:
- Season timeline: the story, your warzone's grouping, Week 1 rules and a rewards preview.
- Season Boost: the boosts that will be active during the season.
- Season Preview: daily warzone goals that unlock season information (see below).
- Faction Awards: how warzones are assigned to factions.
- Alliance Safe Time: pick your protected battle slot.
Season Preview goals
Each day's information unlocks when your whole warzone reaches the goal, and the daily chest pays out.
| Day | Topic | Warzone goal |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ancient Clans | 1,000 World Map zombie kills |
| 2 | War Merits & Alliance Pacts | 500 building upgrades |
| 3 | Rainforest Ruins | 500 Radar Tasks |
| 4 | Power Breakthrough | 10,000 Hero Recruitments |
| 5 | Faction Clash | 50,000 units trained |
| 6 | Power of the Altar | Log in |
| 7 | Lost Rainforest | Log in |
How factions are decided
You can't choose who you fight beside. The game splits the 8 warzones into two groups of four, and the most powerful warzone in each group becomes the Faction Leader.
- Faction Selection Stage (3 days, from Monday): each Faction Leader's President picks a pattern in secret. They can change it, with a 12-hour cooldown. If nobody picks, it's random.
- Faction Reveal Stage (from day 4): everyone sees which warzones are Deepwood and which are Wetland.
At season start, alliances are teleported to their faction's zone. Each alliance's number decides where it lands.
Week 2 of the Pre-Season
Week 1 events keep running. The one new event is Pre-Season Capitol Conquest:
- Announced on Week 2 day 1, fought on Week 2 day 5 at 12:00 server time, for up to 4 hours.
- Any alliance can join, with no adjacent land needed (during the season proper, you'll need adjacent land).
- The current President loses power when it starts. The alliance that reaches 100%, or has the most progress at the end, takes the Capitol, and its leader becomes President.
- Up to 100 squads can defend. The first attackers lose their shield.
- Fighting in the contaminated mud near the Capitol earns Honor Points. Radar, shields and exploring are disabled there.
Get ready for day 1
- Set Alliance Safe Time. Each alliance blocks one fixed battle window when its Cities and strongholds can't be attacked. It's at Alliance → Settings → Alliance Safe Time, and can be changed later.
- Max your seasonal alliance techs. Prioritize the ones that cut seasonal building costs and speed up construction.
- Save Hero's Return tickets from Season 5 and open them on day 1. They can drop Rainforest Mushrooms.
- Pre-stack Radar missions so you can claim them right after the season update.
- Save SSR shards for Braz, who gets a UR promotion this season. Get him to 5 stars by Week 2.
- Keep regular Hero Recruitment Tickets. The season adds Exclusive Weapon shards for Kimberly, DVA and Tesla to the normal tavern.
- Plan diplomacy. Talk to the alliances that will share your faction about pacts (see Alliance Pacts & Faction Clash).
Season boosts worth knowing
- Enchanted Fungus base skin: +5% Hero Attack, plus the Mushroom Puff skill (+250 Virus Resistance for 24 hours to bases in a 9×9 area). Sources say it costs 1,500 Glitter Coins in the Glittering Market. One source says it's buyable from Week 1 Day 1 of the season, not during the Pre-Season.
- Rock the End decoration: up to +2.5% chance of an extra Golden Fish Chest while fishing.
