Season 6 Overview: Lost Rainforest
Season 6 at a glance: two factions, one shared jungle map, and an 8-week war decided by Influence Points.
Season 6, called Lost Rainforest (the map is the Shadow Rainforest), changes the shape of the war. Instead of warzones fighting each other on their own, eight warzones are split into two factions of four that share one large connected map.
The basics
| Topic | Details |
|---|---|
| Length | 2-week Pre-Season, then 8 weeks of season |
| Teams | 4 warzones vs 4 warzones |
| Factions | Deepwood (stag totem) vs Wetland (crocodile totem) |
| Neutral center | The Great River Clan, which holds the Altars and the Ancestral Temple |
| How a faction wins | More Influence Points at the end of the season |
The map is mirror-symmetrical, so both factions start on equal ground. You don't pick your faction: the game groups the warzones, and each group's strongest warzone (its Faction Leader) settles which side the group plays. More on that in Season 6 Pre-Season.
What's new this season
- Faction warfare. Capturing an enemy faction's City destroys it permanently, and your alliance earns Influence Points. Same-faction alliances can't fight each other in Neutral Cities or Outposts.
- War Merit and Faction War Ranks. A personal score earned from almost everything you do. It raises your rank for daily stipends and stat buffs. See War Merit & Faction War Ranks.
- Fishing Grounds replace Strongholds. Your catch powers Alliance Skills and Faction Technology. See Fishing Grounds & Fishing.
- Altar Conquest every Tuesday from Week 3, for powerful Alliance Skills. See Altar Conquest.
- Hero Awakening for Kimberly, DVA and Tesla, plus a UR promotion for Braz. See Hero Awakening & Braz UR.
- Alliance Pacts between alliances in the same faction. See Alliance Pacts & Faction Clash.
- Tactics Cards return, but the old 4+1 hybrid card is gone. Each troop type gets its own card.
- Beneath the Ruins, a platform-dropping mini-game with daily stages and later PvP duels for War Merit and season resources.
Season resources and buildings
- Rainforest Mushrooms build and upgrade Spore Factories.
- Spore (made by the factories) upgrades the Fungus Institute, which raises your Virus Resistance. Low resistance makes strong squads underperform against seasonal enemies.
- Totems (Bear for Tank, Eagle for Aircraft, Jaguar for Missile) boost hero damage for one troop type.
- Protector's Field summons Desert Protectors.
All season buildings are removed when the season ends. Leftover Mushrooms, Spore, War Merit, Bait, Fish and Tactics Cards turn into Profession EXP.
